Title
L2317 - Brick arch bridges and permanent way near Aylestone, Leicester
Description
L2317 - Looking along a single line of newly laid permanent way towards a succession of brick arch bridges at Aylestone. Visible at the foot of the cutting slope are the traces of hard core which lay beneath the ballast of the trackbed. Topham, Jones & Railton was the firm contracted to build this section of the Railway (Contract No.3, Aylestone to Rugby).
