Lace detail from a 1935 tea rose pink brief brassiere. Produced in 1935, this tea rose pink brief brassiere was a modern design for the period. It is made from Celanese suede locknit and is trimmed with beige rayon edging. The brassiere has shaped bust sections, with seams across each side.
The ribbon shoulder straps are not adjustable, but are attached to the back of the garment with an inset of narrow elastic. This allowed for a certain degree of flexibility. There is also an elastic inset at the centre back, where the brassiere is fastened with hooks and eyes.
