Title
L2350 - Girder bridge over the London & North Western Railway at South Hampstead
Description
L2350 - Looking south at the Great Central's plate girder bridge which spanned the London & North Western Railway at South Hampstead. The picture provides ample evidence of why this section of the London Extension (Contract No.7) - although the shortest by a considerable margin - was the most expensive to build, as the Line passed over countless bridges and through a succession of tunnels in its journey out of the capital.
