Old Vehicle About 1901. Unknown Model
Description
This photo is dated Aug 11, 1901. The car has no registration because the first ones were issued in 1903 and not legally required until 1904. The man is George Albert Hodson who, after attending Loughborough Grammar School, joined the family firm The Hathern Station Brick and Terracotta Co (later, Hathernware Ltd.). He became its Chairman and Managing Director in 1907. [Thanks to Clive Chandler at the Record Office, Wigston, for tracing the registration]
