L2398 - Almost completed, this is the imposing brick arch underbridge (bridge no. 364) built to carry the Last Main Line across Thurcaston Road. The most significant part of the structure still to be constructed are the brick parapets. Henry Lovatt & Co. of Wolverhampton was the firm contracted to build this section of the Railway (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
