Title
L2209 - Temporary girder bridge crossing the Grand Union Canal near Denham
Description
L2209 - Thought to have been photographed near Denham around 1903, this is a temporary girder bridge crossing the Grand Union Canal. Visible beyond on the left bank is a brick pier of the viaduct which was built to carry the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line. Pauling & Co. of Westminster was the firm contracted to build this section of the Railway (Northolt Junction to High Wycombe).
