Description

L2224 - Photographed looking south from a girder overbridge, this is a fine view of the completed Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway station at High Wycombe. Prior to the days of the joint venture, and with it the expansion and widening of the existing Great Western line, a station had already occupied this site. A single line of permanent way has been laid to run beside the west platform. Just visible along the temporary contractor's rails on the left is the east platform.
