Title
L2233 - Steam crane at work on Marylebone Goods Depot
Description
L2233 - Navvies and a steam powered crane at work erecting the steel girders of Marylebone Goods Depot, London. Approximately forty steam cranes were used during the Line's construction. This is a good opportunity to see the engine as it was built: many are pictured with the improvised wooden cabs which were fashioned by the contractors to provide shelter for their men.
