Title
L3165 - Old and new viaducts at High Wycombe.
Description
L3165 - Although the Great Western & Great Central joint line (or the Alternative Route as it was known) was basically a revamp of the old GWR Birmingham line, it did require a number of new structure to be built in order to widen the formation. Here, on Arch Way in High Wycombe, we can see the new GW & GC viaduct in the foreground with the old GWR viaduct beyond. The date of the images is around 1906.
