The Cliffe Hill mineral railway was a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge industrial railway that connected Cliffe Hill granite quarry in Bardon, NW Leicestershire, to the nearby London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) between Leicester and Coalville. The line opened in 1896 and operated until 1948.
There were 15 locomotive engines. This one, Mary, was built by W. G. Bagnall in 1911 and scrapped in 1957.
