A tree uprooted after the terrible blizzard of 1916. Although the gales and weight of the snow caused considerable damage by bringing down trees and telegraph poles, it fortunately caused little loss of life.

This photograph shows the Clipstone Street Primitive Methodist chapel (later Highfields) on Melbourne Rd, Leicester.
