Emmanuel Baptist Church once stood near Leamington Road in Leicester. The church was built in 1871 and demolished in 1978. The building had ceased to be a church a while before its demolition (as seen on this photograph, where it was being used as a scrap yard). The area around the church was also demolished as part of the city's slum clearance programme during the 1950s-1970s.
