The chapel on Harvey Lane in Leicester was made famous by two of its ministers: William Carey and Robert Hall. Carey's House, close to the chapel, became a museum. The chapel was destroyed by fire in 1921, then rebuilt as a memorial hall. This photograph is presumably the laying of stones for the hall.
Harvey Lane and all its buildings was demolished in the late 1960s as part of the clearance to create St Nicholas' circle.
