The congregational chapel on Bond Street opened in 1803, and was enlarged in 1821. Due to the redevelopments of the surrounding streets the congregation dwindled, and the final church service was held on Sunday 11th December 1966. The chapel itself was demolished in 1967. The site is now part of East Bond Street.
