Applegate Street was a mediaeval street which stood in the St Nicholas area of Leicester. The street was destroyed in the 1960s as part of the Southgates underpass development.
An 1892 advert for George Pink's store describes the business as: "Steam Dyer, French Cleaner and Ostrich Feather Dresser, Patronised by the Nobility and Gentry"
