Community of Christ Church on Abbey Lane, Leicester. This sort of building was known as a 'tin tabernacle' or 'iron church'. Made of metal sheeting, they were an early type of pre-fabricated building, designed to be erected quickly and used as a temporary building until a more permanent church was built. Most were torn down once the permanent church was built, so surviving examples such as this are rare.
