Replica Bronze Age Gold Armlets
Description
Found in a shallow pit outside a Bronze Age burial mound near Lockington, Leicestershire, in 1994. Both armlets are examples of very rare British goldwork of the period. They show outstanding workmanship. Found near a bronze dagger and pottery vessels. The original armlets are at the British Museum.
c. 2200-1900 BC.
