Description
Found in Barkby Thorpe, Leicestershire. Flask shaped vessel with "W" on one side for the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, Norfolk, and a crown on the other. Ampullae were used to carry holy water and were common souvenirs from Medieval pilgrimages.
c. AD 800-1550.
