New Hall Demolition
Description
The New Hall in the square, Market Harborough, being demolished. Originally built in 1872 and known as the Philanthropic Hall, it hosted lecturers and theatre productions. It later aired films and became a roller skating rink, before being converted into a cinema in 1911. It was used for storage during World War 2, then later used as a dance studio, a concert venue, and an antique shop. It was demolished in 1968.
