Group photograph of the rowing club formed by the employees of R & WH Symington (Market Harborough) on their annual picnic. 3rd June 1916. The postcard reads: "Dear Lisa and George. How is this for a group it was taken last Sat at out picnic, don't I look a state we was busy cutting of when they called us to have our photo. Taken so we can't grumble at them considering all things and we had a rough time getting to [illegible] but jolly all the same. Let us know if George has got to go and where he is [illegible]. Mother sends her love to all love you affectionately [name illegible- possibly Mill, Mitch, Mell]. Notice the chain."
