Title
Drum Threshing Machine
Description
Threshing was used to separate the grain from the straw. These machines replaced the harsh manual labour needed for this task by the late 19th century. Sheaves of corn were thrown onto the platform, where they were untied. The corn was then fed into the machine, the straw falling out the rear end, while the grain was bagged as it came from the drum inside.
