Title
Harvesting With A Reaping Machine
Description
Although a 19th century invention, the mechanical reaper did not replace manual reaping until the end of the century due to the costs of the equipment. It saved a lot of time compared to hand cutting, as a team of two horses and two men could cut 1.5 acres per hour, compared to 2 acres per day by hand.
