Title
Ploughing With Four Horses
Description
The plough was used to turn over and break the soil in fields to be planted. Struggling against Leicestershire's thick clays, a team of four horses could plough an acre in a day. This team is in a trace harness and, therefore, the horses have pads, not saddles. The chains are attached fore and aft to a spreader between each of the horses, the last spreader being chained to the bridle of the plough.
