Description
This wonderful photograph was taken on a busy day at the Glyn Valley Tramway station at Glyn Ceiriog, near Wrexham, circa 1900. Waiting patiently to haul the passengers away from the platform is the Manchester built Beyer Peacock 0-4-2 narrow gauge side tank locomotive 'SIR THEODORE'. Note the engine has been fitted with side plates to protect people from the wheels and motion.
