Title
Lockington Hoard, Early Bronze Age
Description
Lockington Hoard, comprising two replica gold armlets, dagger and pottery vessels.

Like gold, bronze objects were items of status. The bronze dagger, the first of its type found in Britain, was buried in a wooden scabbard, fragments of which are still visible on its surface, a very rare survival.

These copies of the beautiful Lockington gold armlets are exact copies and show the skill of Bronze Age goldsmiths. (Replica armlets are displayed because the real objects are displayed at the British Museum).
