Title
Medieval finger ring bezel
Description
Bezel from a medieval gold finger ring in the form of an ornate cross from Fenny Drayton, Hinckley and Bosworth. Religious motifs were very common in the Medieval world.

The fragment would have formed the bezel. It is rectangular in form and is decorated with a motif of a heart sprouting flowers below a foliated crown. On the reverse can be seen the remains of the flat band of the hoop.
