Silver Object, Langley Priory
Description
Post Medieval silver object, consisting of a circular section loop with a sub rectangular plate, with cut away corners attached. This is engraved on both sides and dated 1597. The plate has been bent and partially torn just below where it joins the loop, which makes reading the inscription difficult to read. Below this, rope effect circle containing Boar?, left above a coronet with ribbon trailing outwards from each lower corner. Flanked by initials T G G. Found in the grounds of Langley priory.
