Title
Peatling Magna Coin Hoard
Description
Hoard of ten Iron Age gold Gallo-Belgic type E staters from Peatling Magna
These ten Iron Age gold stater coins found in Peatling Magna, Harborough, were produced in Gallia Belgica (north eastern France and Belgium). They feature abstract horses on one side and are blank on the other. It is rare to find imported coins as far north as Leicestershire and they indicate long distance contacts.
