Mayor Wedgwood Heath and the Mayoress drinking from the Ethelfloeda Fountain in Victoria Park. The public drinking fountain was a bequeath from Edith Gittins, a prominent social reformer. The statue on top of the fountain is of Ethelfloeda, daughter of Alfred the Great and ruler of Mercia.

The fountain was installed in 1922 (presumably the date of his photo), the statue now residing in the Guildhall.
