Robert Courtneidge (29 Jun 1859- 6 Apr 1939) was a British actor and manager of the Prince's Theatre in Manchester. In this phorograph he is playing the role of Professor Pekering Peck in the comedy play "On 'Change" (adapted by Miss E. Lawrence from a German play by Gustav von Moser). The tour performed in the Leicester Opera House in the final week of May 1924, so this photograph was potentially taken then.
