Canterbury Cathedral is in Kent, and is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury, making it the mother church of the Church of England the Anglican Communion. It was founded in 597 and rebuilt in 1070 and 1077. Further expansions and rebuilds occurred in later centuries.
