Description
PCF Fine Art Collection
oil on canvas 210.8 x 138.4
Judith Lamb was the daughter of William Lamb Esq. of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and the wife of Lord Edward Noel, 9th Baron, 1st Viscount Wentworth. Their seat was Kirkby Hall. Their grand-daughter Anne married the poet Lord Byron and their great-grand-daughter was the computer pioneer Ada Lovelace.
The coronet resting on the table is that of a baron, so may mark his accession to the baronetcy in 1745.
