Title
L2250 - Girder underbridge nearing completion
Description
L2250 - This girder structure is thought to be the third occupation bridge north of East Leake, Nottinghamshire. Note the pile of bricks on the embankment, doubtless intended for the bridge's unfinished parapet and wing walls, and the familiar lattice iron work: a typical feature of the Last Main Line. Logan & Hemingway was the firm contracted to build this section of the Railway (Contract No.1, Annesley to Leake).
