Description
Reversed photograph of Trinity Hospital in the Newarke, Leicester. Trinity Hospital was originally built in 1330, with the intent of caring for the poor and infirm of the city. The chapel was attached the to ward, enabling bed-ridden patients to hear the church services. In the late 1700s the hospital was rebuilt by King George III. In 1901-1902 part of the hospital was demolished and rebuilt to make way for a new road to the River Soar.
