Title
L2274 - Girder underbridge near Ruddington, Nottinghamshire
Description
L2274 - Constructed by Logan & Hemingway as part of Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake), this girder occupation underbridge was built to carry the Last Main Line over a farm track near Ruddington. Note the structure's short wing walls, and the contractor's temporary rails running along the embankment. The bridge's lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the London Extension.
