Title
L2281 - Water pump and navvies beside contractor's railway in Warwickshire
Description
L2281 - A temporary water pump installed beside a line of contractor's temporary railway at Caves Inn, Warwickshire. Working to drive the pump beneath this somewhat ramshackle wooden shelter is a portable steam engine. Note the smartly dressed child posing with the navvy, and the bicycle propped against the timber frame. This section of the Line (Contract No.3, Aylestone to Rugby) was built by Topham, Jones & Railton.
