L2289 - Girder underbridge near Grendon Underwood, Buckinghamshire
Description
L2289 - Plate girder underbridge with splayed wing walls, built to carry the Great Central over a road near Grendon Underwood. Built by Louis P. Nott between 1901-1905, this section of the railway (Grendon Underwood to Princes Risborough) formed part of the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, a scheme which gave the fledgling London Extension a faster route into the capital.
