Title
L2295 - Brick arch underbridge and culvert at Nottingham
Description
L2295 - Built by Logan & Hemingway as part of Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake), this brick arch underbridge at Nottingham (bridge No. 278) carried the Last Main Line across Valley Road. Passing beneath the two arch culverts in the foreground is Day Brook. The parched slopes of the embankment suggest this photograph was taken during a fine Victorian summer.
