Title
L1802 - Widening the railway on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line near Saunderton, Buckinghamshire
Description
L1802 - Looking north along the cutting during the construction of the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, near Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, circa 1903. The line on the right of the picture is part of the existing Great Western Railway, and from the longitudinal sleepers it is clear that this had once been a section of broad gauge track, a system used exclusively by the Great Western which was later replaced with the familiar standard gauge width.
