Title
L1876 - Girder footbridge near Thorpe Mandeville, Northamptonshire
Description
L1876 - A high girder footbridge spans a cutting during construction of the Banbury Branch line, photographed near Thorpe Mandeville, circa 1898. Although the bridge appears to be completed, there is clearly much left to do on this section of the railway. A single line of contractor's temporary rails negotiates its way across the cutting floor, ferrying a number of tipping wagons along the route.
