Title
L1668 - Constructing the station at Denham, Buckinghamshire
Description
L1668 - Denham station nearing completion, Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, circa 1903. Note the row of iron fencing still to be erected. The uneven track on the right of the photograph is not the permanent way, but contractor's temporary railway laid to bring men, materials and equipment to and from the construction site. Pauling & Co. of Westminster was the contractor responsible for work on this section of the Line (High Wycombe to Northolt).
