L1681 - Stables under the viaduct off Bede Street, Leicester, 28.1.1899. The horses kept in these stables were most likely used by the Great Central's own parcels and goods service. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor responsible for constructing this section of the Line (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
