L1717 - Girder underbridge carrying the Leicester viaduct across the Grand Union Canal, Bedehouse Meadows, West Bridge, circa 1897. The bridge's lattice work parapet is a typical feature of the London Extension. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Railway (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
