Title
St Augustine's College, Canterbury
Description
St Augustine's College in Canterbury, Kent, was built on and around the ruins of a former abbey. It was a Missionary College, designed to train clergy who would then be sent to administer the far-flung colonies of the British Empire. The college was closed after a German air raid on 31 May 1942 badly damaged the buildings. Parts of the site are now used by other colleges.
