Title
L1792 - Girder footbridge and permanent way, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire
Description
L1792 - A girder footbridge stands tall over the permanent way of the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line near Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, circa 1905. Note the semaphore signals at the centre of the photograph, and beyond a long line of tipping wagons stretching towards a brick arch bridge. Telegraph lines and point rodding run parallel with the tracks on the left of the picture. This section of the line (Northolt to High Wycombe) was built by Pauling & Co. of Westminster.
