Description
L1538 - Construction of Leicester Central Station, circa 1898. Note the hydraulic buffer stops at the centre of the photograph, and the Midland Railway's tipping wagon, used by the Great Central Railway for the duration of the building work. The station was built by Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton, the contractor responsible for this section of the Railway (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
