L1539 - Girder underbridge crossing the canal at Leicester, circa 1900. The bridge's lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the London Extension. Beyond is West Bridge. This section of the Railway (Contract No.2 Leake to Aylestone) was built by Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton, between 1894-1899.
