Description
L1547 - Three arch brick overbridge at Birstall cutting, Leicestershire, circa 1898. Beyond is another bridge of very similar design. With the permanent way laid and the ballast being packed over the sleepers, this section of the Line will soon be ready for traffic. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor who built this part of the Railway (Contract No.2 Leake to Aylestone).
