L1556 - Laying the permanent way on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, circa 1904. The photograph was taken looking south from the site of Ashendon Junction, Buckinghamshire. Louis P. Nott was the contractor responsible for this later section of the Railway (Princes Risborough to Grendon Underwood), built between 1902-1905.
