L1572 - Drilling holes to fix the rail chairs to the sleepers at Finmere in Buckinghamshire 4th October 1897. These navvies would probably have worked for Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne, the contractor who built this section of the Railway (Contract No.6 Brackley to Quainton Road).
